Our Finance Department is seeking a Finance Director Cluster Andean North (CAN) to join our team in Americas. As Finance Director, you will be responsible for the long-term financial health and growth of the business across Colombia and Ecuador. You will lead and support the commercial finance strategy, business partnering, accounting, regulatory reporting, internal control and compliance for the cluster, establishing strategies that drive profitability and improving practices to increase efficiency
What you’ll do
Budgeting & Control:
- Lead the cluster's annual budget planning and approval process
- Review budget performance, flag variances, and recommend remedial actions
- Work with regional and Group controlling teams on rolling forecast
- Advise the CAN leadership team on long-term business and financial planning
Business Support:
- Provide financial support and challenge to commercial business cases
- Guide business transformation initiatives, aligned with global strategy
- Drive business partnering, insights and analytics that inform key decisions
Leadership & Management:
- Manage headcount planning with regional business leaders and HR
- Lead, coach and develop the finance team
- Build a strong corporate climate and business partnerships with peers across the region, Group UK, and external stakeholders
Accounting:
- Own the full accounting function for the cluster's entities, including general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations and fixed assets in SAP
- Deliver timely month-end closing in SAP and the Group Financial Reporting tool, in line with Group timelines
- Ensure statutory accounts and local tax filings are submitted accurately and on time
- Liaise with statutory auditors, tax advisors, banks and regulators to ensure compliance
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction and systems enhancement; flag internal control risks
- Partner with GBS on back-office automation, digititalization, standardisation and centralisation of R2R, OTC, MD and P2P processes
Reporting:
- Ensure timely completion of financial, management and budgetary reports for leadership and stakeholders
- Present monthly financial performance to senior management and cost centre owners
- Provide strategic financial insight to the leadership team
Treasury:
- Forecast and manage FX exposure, cash flow, banking relationships and related facilities
- Manage treasury requirements, debt levels, borrowings, covenants and cash ratios
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification in Finance
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience working with GBS and within a multinational organization
- Strong IFRS knowledge, with experience in planning, forecasting and analysis
- Hands-on experience with finance systems such as SAP, BPC, HFM or Salesforce
- Regional LATAM experience
- Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills; comfortable operating across all levels of a multicultural organization
