PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Operational delivery, control, and continuous improvement of Cash Application services across the Americas region. The role ensures accurate and timely cash posting, drives standardisation, supports implementations, and partners with the Service Delivery Manager, Global Process Owners, Continuous Improvement, and Technology teams to deliver sustainable efficiencies and protect the integrity of debtor balances. The Team Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of performance, compliance, and control across the Order to Cash cycle.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The scope of the role will continue to broaden, but key areas of responsibility are as follows:

  1. People:

➢ Act as a role model for integrity and company values, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

➢ Lead, develop, coach, and manage team performance by setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and building succession plans.

  2. Partnership

➢ Ensure delivery of in-scope services within the Service Partnership Framework, balancing credit risk management with customer engagement and loyalty.

➢ Partner with Finance, Commercial, Shared Services, Banks, IT, and Auditors to remove blockers and successfully implement changes.

  3. Operational

➢ Ensure compliance with group, regional, and market policies, as well as legal, statutory, regulatory, and fiscal requirements to mitigate financial risk.

➢ Own day-to-day Cash Application activities, including cash posting, bank statement imports, remittance processing, lockbox/interfaces, and clearing of unapplied or on-account cash. 1

➢ Manage workload, resourcing, and SLA adherence, ensuring month-end close activities are completed on time.

➢ Continuously seek opportunities to improve service quality while reducing operational cost.

  4. Continuous Improvement & Standardization

➢ Design, document, and deploy standard work (SOPs/WIs) for Cash Application across the Americas, ensuring adoption and governance.

➢ Build and maintain a continuous improvement pipeline (Lean/Kaizen) to increase auto matching/STP rates and reduce unapplied cash ageing and manual effort.

➢ Identify and implement automation opportunities (e.g., RPA, Power Automate) and improvements in SAP and banking integrations.

  5. Transformation & Projects

➢ Lead or coordinate parallel initiatives such as ERP or banking changes and market migrations, with clear benefits tracking.

➢ Prepare and present process and performance updates to leadership with the appropriate level of detail.

  6. Controls, Risk & Audit

➢ Maintain a strong control environment, including segregation of duties, approvals, reconciliations, and exception management.

➢ Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring timely remediation of findings and prevention of recurrence.

  7. Performance Management & Reporting

➢ Own Cash App KPIs/dashboards and cadences (daily/weekly/monthly); drive actions from insights.

➢ Provide commentary to SDM/Finance leadership on trends, risks and mitigation.

  8. Other

➢ Have a deep understanding of the end-to-end process areas, the interdependencies with the wider team, and be able to influence and guide stakeholders across functional boundaries (who may have potentially conflicting viewpoints) to optimise the end-to-end solution to a common business aligned viewpoint.

➢ Present (when required) complex, detailed process related content summarised to the appropriate level relevant to senior stakeholders in the organisation.
