Our Finance Team is currently looking for a talented Junior Accountant/Accounting Officer to be the responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, vendor transactions, employee reimbursements, and other financial operations, while maintaining compliance with company policies and tax regulations. This includes organizing and coding invoices, processing payments, managing reconciliations and providing support for audits. Additionally, the role involves effectively communicating with vendors, managing intercompany transactions, and maintaining up-to-date documentation for tax purposes and internal controls.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
• Organize remittances and supporting documents for accounts payable records.
• Code and enter invoices into the Kerridge system, as well as setting up new customer accounts and handling vendor inquiries.
• Process payments (checks, wires, ACH) according to established schedules.
• Process employee reimbursements and ensure all supporting documents are included.
• Process advance travel payments and follow up on missing documentation.
• Review and reconcile accounts payable aging weekly with the accounting manager.
• Manage dealer incentives/holdback payments and verify related invoices.
• Oversee corporate credit card payments and ensure timely submission of expenses.
• Request and review vendor statements to ensure proper invoice recording in Kerridge.
• Prepare and submit tax withholding for professional services, and process 480A, 480B, and 480C documentation. Submission on SURI, complete reconciliation on quarterly basis.
• Investigate and resolve Certificates of Debt issues from Hacienda.
• Responsible for managing the reconciliation and reporting of IVU (Impuesto de Ventas y Uso) to ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and reconcile intercompany accounts.
We'll make a match if you meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Proficient in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel (pivot tables).
• Fluent in English and Spanish (mandatory).
• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, with a focus on withholding, and knowledge of debit, credit, and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience working with ERP systems and SAP is an asset.
