Our Logistics Team in Panama is seeking for a Logistics Project Manager for the Caribbean and Central America (CARCAM), in this role you will lead, plan and oversee logistics projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in line with company goals.

 

The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with established timelines and verifying their effective completion.

 

This role requires strong project management expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across the organization and external stakeholders.

 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

 

  • Manages the project to accomplish the goals and objectives identified in the Project Charter.
  • Acts as the primary interface to the Project Sponsor; works closely with, and advises the Project Sponsor and Project Steering Group (if one exists).
  • Understands and utilizes the methodology and tools to manage the project life cycle and the Customer's business needs and how the project relates to it.
  • Manages and controls day-to-day aspects of the project including but not limited to the project plan, resources, time, cost, scope and performance.
  • Leads the Project Team towards continuous risk management.
  • Coordinates and integrates activities across multiple functional lines and workstreams, including IT.
  • Ensure the project plan is base lined to enable progress measurement against set criteria as well as impacts related to changes.
  • Follows and is responsible for overall project governance. 
  • Ensures that regular project team reviews of the status of plans, budgets, issues, risks and changes are conducted.
  • Uses the scope change management process to manage all changes to the project and develops a communications plan for all stakeholders, including project status reporting.
  • Lead project teams in support of complex, and often critical, cross functional logistics and supply chain strategies / related business initiatives.
  • Networks across the organization and develops successful internal and external relationships.
  • Work closely with Sourcing, Operations, Finance, and other teams, in support of Supply Chain road map initiatives.

 

We'll make a match if you meet the following requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 -7 years of successful experience in Logistics, Supply Chain management, or project management
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects / assignments requiring identification of objectives, resources and/or approaches.
  • Exceptional project management skills (PMP certification is a plus).
  • Advanced English both written and spoken.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
