ROLE SUMMARY:

The Finance Director will lead the finance team of a subsidiary of a multinational company with over $250-$300 million in annual revenue. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the Financial Controlling and Business Controlling/FP&A functions, ensuring strong business partnering, compliance, and financial reporting. The Finance Director will drive financial strategy, provide insights to support business decisions and ensure the integrity of financial processes.

This is an entrepreneurial Finance Director role where the individual will need to deal with ambiguity and be comfortable balancing the strategic with everyday tactical decisions. They will also help drive the M&A agenda and new OEM contract wins, with further inorganic growth expected in the short term. They will use their growth mindset to enable the ambition of growing its contribution to Inchcape.

 

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBLE:

•    Leadership and Management
o    Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
o    Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
o    Develop and mentor team members, providing guidance and support for professional development.

•    Financial Controlling. 
o    Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance with IFRS/GAAP, and timely submission.
o    Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with SOX (if applicable) and other regulatory requirements.
o    Manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting, liaising with tax authorities as needed.

•    Business Controlling and FP&A. 
o    Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
o    Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
o    Partner with business units to drive financial performance and support business growth.

•    Process Improvement and Technology.  
o    Leverage SAP and other technologies to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
o    Implement automation solutions to reduce manual workload and enhance data accuracy.
o    Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

•    Strategic Planning and Advisory. 
o    Act as a strategic advisor to the senior management team, providing financial insights and recommendations.
o    Support M&A activities, business restructuring, and other strategic initiatives.
o    Ensure alignment of financial strategy with overall business objectives.


•    Stakeholder Management. 
o    Liaise with headquarters on financial matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and practices.
o    Collaborate with internal and external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:    
    •    Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
•    Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a multinational environment.
•    Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAP and other financial software. In-depth knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
•    Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
•    Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
•    Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business operations and the ability to partner effectively with business units.
•    Compliance and Risk Management: Experience in managing compliance, internal controls, and risk management within a finance function.
