POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Finance Controlling Manager is mainly responsible for ensuring accurate, complete, and timely submission of financial reports to management. In addition, shall plan, monitor and achieve the department’s KPIs, craft implement internal policies and procedures, ensure that controls are defined and strictly enforced, lead and develop the team, fulfill service level agreements to internal customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the production of management information and management accounts for the business, in accordance with the required reporting formats
  • Monitor and check that all applicable company policies and guidelines are strictly implemented and enforced
  • Validate all documents are approved according to delegation of authority
  • Manages the production of financial accounts to meet business needs, best practice and government requirements
  • Ensure that payments are accurate and made to agreed timetables
  • Ensures regular internal audits are carried out to ensure that accounting records are being maintained to agreed standards
  • Monitor and check the preparation of monthly sales commissions and incentives based on set rules and policy
  • Prepare Financial Reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for submission to operating units 
  • Analyze and reconcile transaction such as Sales and COGS relative to the preparation of the Financial Statements
  • Coordinate and address queries of financial statements and other related concerns of operations and management
  • Support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT report based on approved payments due every 20th & 25th of the following for the monthly and Quarterly payment respectively;
  • Check quarterly other government monthly and quarterly
  • Assist in preparation of year-end Financial Report for submission to BIR and SEC
  • Obtain relevant information and check its completeness and accuracy in line with appropriate standards and guidelines
  • Coordinate and prepare requirements relative to BIR Letter of Authority (examination)
  • Regularly check and validate correctness of account balances in the system through preparation/require submission of supporting schedules;
  • Monitor maintenance of effective record keeping in the records and archives;
  • Monitors the day-to-day performance and training of each member of the Finance team, provides feedback on performance and manages any underperformance
  • Takes a proactive approach to identify any recurring problems which affect the customer experience and supports projects to deliver continuous improvement to ways of working
  • Support further system migration ensuring correct accounting scheme and recording is considered in system design.[RR1] 

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATION

Educational Requirement

Minimum College degree in Accounting or Financial Management courses or equivalent

Preferably MBA or its equivalent;

CPA

Job Related Experience

  • At least 8 years in Middle management
  • Accuracy of Financial reports
  • Knowledgeable on different types of financial modelling techniques
  • Good business acumen
  • Team working with colleagues inter Department, Shared services and Operations
  • Advanced level of understanding of accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Up to date with Financial and General Accounting regulations
  • Service level agreements with internal and external customers
  • On-time submission of financial reports
