Finance Controller - Américas
Our Finance VP is searching for its next Finance Controller, who will have the mission of directing all finance controlling matters, including internal control, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Accounting across the region.
Among the main functions to be performed are:
- Divisional commercial finance, value growth and value add creation, business partnering, financial accounting, reporting and control.
- Managing Investment Committe and Rolling Forecast review for the Region: Revenue, PBT, Working Capital and CAPEX. Leading the delivery of financial perfroamance management initiatives relating to Marging improvement and Net Working Capital within Americas Region.
- Developing the infrastructure, systems and controls within Americas business. Driving process improvement, accuracy, insights and analytics across the region with emphasis on the general ledger and period reporting.
- Ensuring the integrity of Americas balance sheet derived from individual market financial statements
- Maintaining and further develop a strong financial internal control culture including InControl Standards (ICS) application in country and proper coordination with internal audit and external audit
- Leading the business strategic review, identifying marging enghancement opportunities, defining the growth levers and business propositions for sustainable profitable growth (Organic and Inorganic in collaboration with M&A team) in line the Group strategy for the Americas Region.
- Together with Market FDs & Regional Treasury, ensuring that the WC and Financing is managed, optimised and accounted for in accordance with group policy, and optimising financing costs.
- Ensuring the effective integration of any acquired business’s finance activity into Inchcape operating model
- Contributing to the development of legal structures and management of capital requirements within Americas Region
- Deputising for Americas Regional CFO
We will match if you meet the following requirements:
- Background as a divisional or regional CFO / Controller having worked across multiple markets with revenue responsibility commensurate with the Americas Region.
- First class financial stewardship and operational excellence experience gained in a high quality, international environment: retail /consumer/multisite experience.
- Strong technical credentials, ideally gained in the group finance function of a listed plc or in a significant operational/divisional finance role.
- Deep ‘Internal Controls, Risk and Governance’ subject matter, experienced in designing, implementing and leading Control Frameworks controls within a Global FTSE Regulated Business and with a Shared Service Centre (GBS) experience.
- Technical and commercial proven track record around control, reporting and analysis
- Experience working with shared service center
- Experience and extensive knowledge of IFRS, and leading and implementing Sarbanes Oxley compliant control environments aligning to COSO and COBIT frameworks.
- Proven strategic leadership qualities with the ability to build credibility at senior levels of the organization (Regional CEO, CFO and Finance Directors). Able to work collaboratively with all levels of the Group and across different cultures, gaining colleague engagement, commitment and buy-in to delivery.
- Ability and discipline to analyze complex situations whilst being creative in seeking good solutions. Understands associated risks and implications and exercises good judgement and confidence in taking action. Wins support for decisions. Manages the decision making and delivery process with pace.
