Our Audit team is seeking an Internal Senior Auditor to join our team in Americas. In this position you will shape the future of a truly leading edge Global Internal Audit Function. The Americas Senior Internal Auditor role requires someone who is passionate about internal audit, risk and compliance as you’ll be tasked with delivering a variety of financial, operational, IT and Programme assurance audits.
As a key member of the Americas Audit team, the Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for assisting the Internal Audit Managers in delivering regional internal audit engagements, developing relationships and acting as an ambassador for the Internal Audit Function across the Group.
What you’ll do
- Working closely with the Internal Audit Managers to lead/support delivery of audits as required, including planning, execution, and reporting of observations to stakeholders in accordance with Inchcape’s Internal Audit Methodology, quality standards, key performance indicators and professional standards.
- Ensure audit work is performed with proficiency, due professional care, in accordance with professional ethics and Group Internal Audit requirements.
- Draft high quality Internal Audit reports.
- To ensure that all actions are monitored and followed up in a timely manner escalating overdue issues to the Audit Manager.Influencing and negotiation skills for appropriate action to be taken by senior management to rectify issues raised.
- Support the Internal Audit Managers in creating the Annual risk-based IA Plan
- Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders and assurance providers across all the Region and Group as appropriate maintaining an up-to-date current knowledge of regulatory requirements and Inchcape’s business offerings
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Inchcape’s business, strategy and operating model.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be:
- CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, etc. professional with at least 2 year of post-qualification experience in practice or in industry.
- Experienced working within an Internal Audit Function and knowledge of IFRS and UK Corporate Governance and of COSO, COBIT compliance frameworks.
- Excellent in written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to liaise with, and influence, process owners and management
- Good problem solver, analytical and project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects within set timelines and with minimal supervision.
- Willing to travel internationally (both, regionally and worldwide).
- Strong commercial acumen, resilience, confidence and willingness to excel with focus on a continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in English (business level verbal, spoken and written).
- IT controls knowledge, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Interest in and experience of using Data Analytics.
