Inchcape Automotive Retail New Zealand has five dealerships representing the LDV and KGM brands across Auckland, Taupo, Wellington, and Christchurch. Inchcape Automotive Retail New Zealand prides itself on offering a professional, seamless purchasing experience in our state-of-the art showrooms and we believe that purchasing a vehicle is just the first step of the ownership journey. Our factory-trained staff are on hand to service and maintain our customers’ vehicles and continue to support them throughout their ownership journey. 

What is the Role

You will be offering finance and insurance products to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction while maximizing profitability for the dealership. Your expertise will be pivotal in securing financing, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships.

The successful candidate will work to create an exceptional customer experience for each of our many customers by understanding their needs and assisting them with their Finance and Insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide customers through the financing and insurance process with professionalism and integrity.
  • Offer finance and insurance products tailored to meet customers' individual needs and budget.
  • Negotiate terms with financial institutions to secure competitive financing rates and terms.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and service departments to enhance the customer experience and streamline processes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of transactions and contracts and sales logs.
  • Tax invoice preparation and deal pack preparation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Manager, Finance Manager, or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of finance and insurance products, including warranties, insurance policies, and extended service contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification in Finance and Insurance (e.g., AFIP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with finance and insurance software systems.

The success of our Business Managers is measured by individual productivity as well as contribution to the team. We do not require candidates to have knowledge of our specific products when they start, however they will have the drive and initiative to learn about the product we represent.
