SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for conducting internal control and process audits in line with the InControl Standards, across all areas of the business. They will work closely with multiple business divisions to review and audit their controls and/or processes and make recommendations for controls and/or process management/improvement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Design and plan control and operational audits to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
  • Collect, review and analyze data related to the audit control or process
  • Determine whether the control or process is operating according to the InControl Standards framework
  • Identify discrepancies, risks, and other problems,
  • Prepare an audit report to document findings and recommend appropriate corrective measures
  • Present the report to relevant stakeholders and assist department with development of corrective action plans and ensure the plans are implemented and successful by performing follow up audits
  • Promote and educate leaders on the benefits of adopted control measures; encourage stakeholders and other responsible parties to adopt changes necessary to correct problems and noncompliance
  • Perform audits according to the established work plan and calendar
  • Identify and assess areas of significant business risk
  • Identify weaknesses in internal controls and/or process improvement opportunities
  • Assist in other Adhoc/special projects

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Experience
    • One year of experience performing audits such as business process, compliance, and internal audits

  • The physical requirements of this position involve sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, and viewing a computer terminal

  • Workstations located in air-conditioned offices with adequate lighting.  Must perform work outdoors from time to time.
