SUMMARY

Tractor driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and timeous delivery of products and maintaining logged trip details. The tractor driver will also be required to perform minor maintenance work on the truck and trailer.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Safely deliver products to various locations
  • Planning the most efficient routes and ensuring deliveries are made on time
  • Perform truck and trailer inspections before departure to ensure the truck and trailer are in good running order
  • Conducting inventory of loads and documenting the conditions before departure
  • Assisting in the loading and unloading of freight, and obtaining the client’s signature on delivery
  • Securing the freight in place before departure and monitoring its safe distribution throughout the trip
  • Reporting any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management.
  • Adhering to federal and state trucking rules and regulations
  • Must report to work on time every day as scheduled.
  • Attends department meetings as required

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years Experience as a tractor trailer truck driving 
  • Licensure
    • Valid Guam Class C Driver’s license

    • Ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object or scene.
