SUMMARY

The Truck Driver is responsible for operating Roll-off Trash trucks and Diesel Tanker Trucks. This position delivers, picks up and transports trash container bins and diesel fuel in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Safely deliver and pick up of diesel and Trashco products to various locations.
  • Plans the most efficient routes and ensues deliveries are made on time.
  • Performs truck and trailer inspections before departure to ensure the truck and trailer are in good running order.
  • Conducts inventory of loads and documenting the conditions before departure.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of freight, and obtaining the client’s signature upon delivery.
  • Secures the freight in place before departure and monitoring it’s safe distribution throughout the trip.
  • Reports any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management.
  • Completes and verifies all paperwork for accuracy.
  • Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Complies with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
  • Adheres to federal and state trucking rules and regulations.
  • Must report to work on time every day as scheduled.
  • Attends department meetings as required

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years truck driving experience in diesel or trash trucks
  • Licensure
    • Valid Guam B Chauffer’s Driver’s license
