SUMMARY

Warehouse Laborer is responsible for receiving parts, operating power equipment, stocking, order picking, and loading/ off loading trucks to provide distribution support to Parts stores. You are also responsible to practice safe working practices, attention to quality, and meeting individual efficiency goals and benchmark.:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following.

 

Parts Inventory Duties

Receives and checks all parts arrival with corresponding documentation(s).

Assists with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.

Maintains proper shelf locations for parts both old and new.

Processes report(s) of damaged or missing merchandise

Stock automotive parts

Assist with annual physical inventory

Process pick tickets for front and back counters by pulling parts from bins accordingly

Manual cycle counting

TRO Report daily

 

Dispatching Duties

Picks up and delivers parts as needed

Delivers parts to internal customer(s) when needed.

Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.

Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups

 Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.

Prepare delivery schedule

 

Delivery Vehicle Duties

Operate delivery vehicle

Unloads vehicle each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.

Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.

Advises parts supervisor if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.

 

Administrative Duties

Operates office machines such as computer, typewriter, adding machine, calculator, and copier.

Files correspondence, and other records.

 

Makes copies of correspondence or other printed matter.

 

Telephone Duties

Answers incoming phone calls in a prompt, polite, professional manner.

Maintains basic knowledge of Parts department information to act as a resource for  incoming callers requesting such information.

 

Housekeeping Duties

Helps maintain the professional appearance of the warehouse and parts department.

Ensures the cleanliness of the parts department by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors, and dusting parts bins daily.

 
Miscellaneous Duties

Handles special projects as instructed by the Operation Parts manager.

Participates in all training programs that are made available.

Keeps current on new products and product updates.

Maintains professional appearance.

Must report to work on time every day as scheduled.

Attends department meetings as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Keen sense for seeing, hearing, and remembering part numbers and line codes
  • Strength to lift 60 lbs. of merchandise and Push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids such as forklift trucks, pallet jacks, dollies
  • Agility to bend to floor level shelves and reach to upper shelves with use of stool, ladder, or lift trucks
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid Guam Driver’s License.
