3 years service as Senior Technician or as Senior Panel Beater or Senior Service Advisor
External:
College diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Auto-mechanics or in other related fields and 10 years related work experience
Or
TVET (10+2) certificate in Auto-mechanics/ Auto-Electricity or other related fields and 12 years related work experience
Job Detail:
Auxiliary Service Supervisor role is responsible to supervise the embedding of workshop standards in the branch and proper handling and maintenance of all workshop tools and equipment.
The role focuses on supporting the sourcing needs of the business including but not limited to:--
- Plans, organizes and controls the work of SST room, fuel and lubricant supply, replaced parts and the neatness of the workshop.
- Makes/keeps proper inventory of workshop equipment and SST including maintain service history of workshop equipment
- Schedules and follows up the service and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools assigned in the workshop.
- Proposes/requests replacement and/or additional work shop equipment and SST by monitoring the need for same.
- Conducts inventory of technicians' toolbox together with the respective foreman.
- Ensures that the necessary service items i.e fender covers, seat covers, floor mats etc are readily available and are being utilized properly by each technician.
- Ensures that the workshop i.e mechanical, electric, body and paint is neat to the acceptable standard.
- Makes sure that productivity/efficiency of the workshop is not affected due to malfunctioning and/or in adequacy of workshop equipment and tools.
- Controls the intact presence of each employee, working in the support section, on the respective job.
- Ensures that all safety equipment and devices including exhaust gas extraction system are operating properly.
- Takes appropriate measure in consultation with Facility & Auxiliary manager, whenever the problem is identified on each safety equipment and device.
- Monitors and assesses the performance of the work unit for effectiveness and efficiency in achieving its objectives in accordance with standards and measures. Re-directs activities as appropriate to achieve these objectives.
