JOB SUMMARY

 

To perform all duties as designated by Aftersales and be able to carry out the functions of the department independently and without prejudice.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Day to Day Operations
  • Responsible for carrying out the servicing requirements.
  • Follow and abide by the supervision and instructions of his foreman.
  • Finishes work within flat rate time, and in case of delay, inform his foreman.
  • Consult foreman on any existing problem and in case of discovery of additional work, contact foreman for instruction.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of tools and cleanliness of workplace.
  • Keep him updated with Service Bulletins.
  • Use all protective equipment to maintain the cleanliness of the customers vehicle (seat covers, floor mats, fender covers).
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of technician’s hand tools to meet the service and repair requirements.
  • Ensure all customer requests for the repair order are completed to a high-quality standard.
  • Strive to complete all repair orders within the time allotted.
  • Identify and advise foreman of any additional repair items found.
  • Carry out final inspection of all work completed and endorse the Final Inspection Mirror Hanger.
  • Clock-on to personal timecard upon arrival and off upon departure.
  • Maintain accurate clocking practices by clocking on and off every repair order.
  • Treat customer’s vehicles and belongings with care.
  • Transcribe clear accurate account of all work complete onto the repair order.
  • Report damaged tools and equipment to supervisor.

  • Perform any other reasonable request or work task as allocated by the department manager and other senior management.

 

  1. Quality Control
  • Enforce and implement all policies, procedures and systems of workshop operations based on the BP Global Standards/Inchcape Standards.
  • Monitor job quality through quality control inspections, comeback reports and complaints.
  • Target market development for the periodic maintenance and repair work/target market segments.
  • Monitor service shop environmental and safety issues.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience

  • Certification: Must possess at least Toyota Master Technician Certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in automotive service operations.
  • Proven expertise in vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and workshop supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve issues under pressure.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

 

Acquired Skills

  • Experienced in utilizing precision measuring tools (e.g., bore gauge, dial gauge, micrometer, vernier caliper) for accurate assessments.
  • Able to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams; experienced with online repair manual systems.
  • Experienced in handling both manual and automatic cars.

 

Licensure

  • Driver’s License “Class 3”
