JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to perform mechanical checks, accessory installations, and vehicle customizations on brand-new vehicles to ensure they meet manufacturer and dealership standards before delivery to customers. This position plays a vital role in delivering quality and satisfaction to new vehicle owners
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day to Day Operations
- Conduct mechanical and functional inspections on brand-new vehicles as per manufacturer PDI checklists.
- Perform installation of accessories (e.g., body kits, parking sensors, navigation systems, etc.) as requested by customers or standard requirements.
- Carry out vehicle customizations and enhancements as per dealership offerings and customer preferences.
- Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical or electrical issues before delivery.
- Ensure all fluids, tire pressures, lighting systems, and safety features are functioning correctly.
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or technical issues to the supervisor and initiate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Parts and Body & Paint departments for required repair requests or part replacements.
- Perform quality checks after installation or repairs to ensure the vehicle is delivery ready.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental regulations set by the company and manufacturer.
- Other Task
- Perform any other reasonable request or work task as allocated by the department manager and other senior management.
- Quality Control
- Enforce and implement all policies, procedures and systems of workshop operations based on the BP Global Standards/Inchcape Standards.
- Monitor job quality through quality control inspections, comeback reports and complaints.
- Target market development for the periodic maintenance and repair work/target market segments.
- Monitor service shop environmental and safety issues.
- Maintain regular contact with BP Principal (distributor and Inchcape).

- Assists in monthly inventory counts and reconciliation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience
- Minimum Education: Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Technology or a related field.
- Completed Toyota OEM Training Modules on Toyota Technician and Certified Toyota Technician or Equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in automotive service, mechanical work, or PDI operations (experience with brand-new vehicles preferred).
Acquired Skills
- Proficient in the use of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer guidelines and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Physically fit to handle workshop tasks
