JOB SUMMARY
The Project Lead – Sales & Operations is responsible for supporting the structured setup, operational readiness, and initial execution of assigned brand operations across Sales and Aftersales within Inchcape Brunei.
The role focuses on translating business plans into disciplined execution, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring readiness across people, processes, systems, and customer journey. The position plays a key role in stabilizing operations and establishing strong commercial and operational foundations.
This role is suited for a commercially oriented leader with strong project planning and execution capability, who can operate in complex environments and build structured, scalable operations. Prior experience in the automotive industry is an advantage but not essential. Candidates with strong commercial, operational, or project leadership experience from other industries are encouraged to apply.
The role reports to the President, Inchcape Brunei, and works closely with functional heads and brand teams to ensure effective execution and operational alignment. As operations mature, the scope of the role may evolve in line with business needs and organizational structure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Performance, Strategy & Execution
- Coordinate and drive execution of brand operating plans aligned with Inchcape Brunei’s business objectives.
- Support delivery of commercial and operational targets across Sales and Aftersales in collaboration with functional leaders.
- Translate strategic objectives into structured execution plans, milestones, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Monitor financial and operational performance, identifying risks and opportunities early and escalating where appropriate.
- Support business planning, forecasting, and investment evaluation activities where required.
Brand Setup & Operational Readiness
- Lead the structured setup and operationalization of assigned brands, from planning through execution and stabilization.
- Ensure readiness across people, processes, systems, facilities, and customer journeys.
- Drive disciplined project planning, sequencing, and delivery of key initiatives.
- Support transition of brands from setup phase into stable and scalable operations.
Sales & Aftersales Oversight
- Provide coordination and operational oversight across Sales operations, including retail execution, pipeline discipline, and customer engagement practices.
- Work closely with Aftersales leadership to support service quality, productivity, and customer retention objectives.
- Support implementation of consistent operating standards and customer experience practices across touchpoints.
- Partner with functional experts to embed best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
People & Leadership
- Coordinate and support Brand Leads and functional teams to ensure alignment, execution discipline, and accountability.
- Provide structure, direction, and follow-through on key initiatives and operational priorities.
- Support development of leadership capability and operational discipline within teams.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and execution focus.
- Partner with the People Team on workforce planning, capability development, and performance alignment.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key interface across internal stakeholders including Sales, Aftersales, Finance, Digital, and People functions.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships where required, including principals and business partners.
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to management.
- Balance multiple stakeholders needs while maintaining alignment to business priorities.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure brand operations comply with Inchcape governance standards, policies, and control frameworks.
- Identify operational and commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation actions.
- Ensure transparency, reporting discipline, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 8–10 years’ experience in commercial, operations, or project leadership roles.
- Strong background in commercial management, project planning, and execution.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
- Experience in automotive, mobility, retail, or consumer-facing industries is an advantage but not essential.
Licensure
- Valid driving license.
