PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lead the operational execution, governance, and continuous improvement of the FX risk hedging programs for the
Americas region—covering inventory, balance sheet, and internal funding flows.
This role ensures exposures are accurately calculated, hedge strategies comply with policy, and financial results are
properly recorded and reported.
In addition, the role requires a forward-thinking, innovative leader capable of leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to
enhance strategic decision-making, forecasting accuracy, process efficiency, and risk analytics. The role must stay ahead
of market best practices, challenge the status quo, and proactively bring new ideas that strengthen Inchcape’s FX risk
management strategy.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1 Manage Americas hedging strategy in accordance with Inchcape Treasury policy.  

2 Review and validate the accuracy and consistency of exposure data received from internal stakeholders.

3 Calculate monthly exposure levels, required hedge percentages, and determine hedge amounts in compliance with Group Hedge Policy. 

4 Maintain and continuously improve the FX hedging calendar to ensure alignment with key financial cycles.

5 Coordinate with the COE Front Office team for timely trade execution. 

6 Associate logistics and invoice data to correctly link hedge instruments with underlying exposures.

7 Analyse the financial impact of hedging operations in collaboration with other areas.

8 Monitor hedge effectiveness and prepare performance reports for internal stakeholders.

9 Ensure compliance with internal controls (ICS), support audit processes, and maintain detailed documentation of hedge decisions.

10 Coordinate with the respective team the timely information delivery for hedge decisions.

11Coordinate and prepare FX Hedging Committee.

12 Maintain strong coordination with commercial and market teams to understand business dynamics.

QUALIFICATIONS 

 Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CTP- Certified Treasury Professional, CFA - Chartered Financial Analyst, FRM - Financial Risk Manager) is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Treasury, Financial Risk Management, or Corporate Finance, ideally within a multinational or complex matrix organization. 

Proven track record managing FX risk processes, hedge execution, and SAP-based reporting environments.  A minimum of 6 years of general experience in a Treasury functions. 

Strong understanding of FX markets, derivative instruments (forwards, swaps), and hedge accounting principles (IAS 21, IFRS 9).

Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus. 

Hands-on experience with SAP (monetary items, invoice tracking, FX exposure reports).
