PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Risk Operation Team Lead is responsible for leading the execution of FX hedging operations and supports the operational integrity of FX hedging and risk management across all markets in the Americas region. This includes executing trades on Bloomberg platform, reporting in WSS, monitoring reconciliations, audit trails, preparing and validating FX and risk management reports to better support management decisions. The role ensures alignment with corporate risk management policies and supports business continuity. The purpose of the role is to support the Risk Administration Manager with the FX trading operational service delivery, constant analysis of markets volatility and reporting of Treasury FX trade activities to the management and the Group.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the definition and update of monthly FX hedging calendar and ensure data consistency across markets.
- Coordinate and supervise trade execution on Bloomberg platform, ensuring compliance with controls and deadlines.
- Prepare reports on hedge trading effectiveness.
- Identify inefficiencies or deviations in the FX trading process and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls (ICS), support audit processes, and maintain detailed documentation of hedge transactions.
- Support the Risk Administration Team to prepare FX Risk Hedging Committee.
- Review and approve FX deals in WSS
- Oversee the Hedging operations team efficiency, productivity and compliance with the Inchcape Treasury policy and ICS Framework.
- Monitor utilization and capacity of the FX credit lines with the banks in the Americas Region. Escalate potential risks to Risk Administration Manager.
- Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to support regional reviews and analysis.
- Constant analysis of FX rates vs Central Bank rates in order to negotiate better spreads.
- Compliance with the Hedging operations team KPI´s.
- 13 Validate operational files to support hedge execution by the Hedging Operations team.
- 14 Contribute to process improvements, automation (with AI tools), documentation updates, and system enhancements for hedging and risk operations.

- Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements control enhancements to mitigate operational risks.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CTP- Certified Treasury Professional, CFA - Chartered Financial Analyst, FRM - Financial Risk Manager) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Treasury, Hedging operations or Corporate Finance, ideally within a multinational or complex matrix organization.
- Proven track record managing FX risk processes, hedge execution, and SAP-based reporting environments.
- A minimum of 6 years of general experience in a Treasury functions.
- Strong understanding of FX markets, derivative instruments (forwards, swaps, options), and hedge accounting principles (IAS 21, IFRS 9).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data validation).
- Hands-on experience with SAP (monetary items, invoice tracking, FX exposure reports).
- Proficiency in Bloomberg for accessing real-time market data, monitoring FX rates, analyzing financial trends, and executing trades.
- Experience with Wallstreet Suite (WSS) for FX hedge management.
- Familiarity with treasury management systems (TMS)and Power BI is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (C1) is required.
