Purpose of Role
The Cash Administration area ensures effective and centralized management of the company’s cash operations across all markets by performing timely and accurate cash flow forecasts and maintaining optimal banking relationships. The Cash Administration area is responsible for monitoring and analysing bank fees, supporting the opening and closing of bank accounts, and ensuring alignment with Inchcape treasury policies and internal control standards (ICS). Its purpose is to enhance cash visibility, support liquidity planning, and strengthen governance across banking operations in the region.
The Americas Cash Administration Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing cash and liquidity management across the Americas region. This role ensures the efficient use of financial resources, maintains alignment with Inchcape treasury policies, and provides strategic and operational support to both Market finance and Group Teams. The position plays a critical role in daily cash operations, short- and long-term forecasting, banking relationships, and supporting funding and investment decisions to ensure financial stability and performance throughout the region.
Job Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily liquidity operations and lead the cash flow committees to ensure optimal use of funds across all markets in the Americas region.
- Support strategic treasury decisions by forecasting cash needs.
- Efficiently manage credit and liquidity risks exposures by cross functional collaboration within related teams and areas.
- Manage and strengthen banking relationships to ensure efficient financial services, compliance and cost efficiency.
- Maintain strong and proactive communication with markets, ensuring that COE promptly addresses their needs and requirements related to cash management.
- Conduct advanced and strategic cash flow analysis across short, medium, and long-term horizons, and deliver insights and reports to market, regional and group stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls (ICS), group treasury policies, and external regulatory requirements across all cash management activities.
- Oversee the proper use of IT systems and platforms employed for cash management, ensuring alignment with established Treasury processes and policies.
- Identify and implement opportunities to standardize and improve cash management processes across markets, leveraging COE capabilities and best practices.
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end cash management process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of daily cash positioning, funding activities, and liquidity optimization across all markets supported by the Center of Excellence.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong ability to build and maintain proactive, solution-oriented communication with market teams, ensuring their cash management needs are addressed effectively and on time.
- Ability to drive process standardization and leverage COE capabilities to implement best-in-class cash management practices across markets.
- The ability to promote a culture of financial control, service excellence, and continuous improvement within the CoE and across all supported entities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and align non-reporting stakeholders in the adoption of treasury strategies and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineer (or equivalent training in Treasury management).
- 10 years of general experience in Finance or Treasury areas or processes.
- At least 5 years of experience in Treasury cash administration management and supervising teams.
- Capacity to identify and implement improvements that enhance process efficiency, reduce operational risks, and enable scalable business growth.
