Our New Car Sales Team is currently looking for a talented Brand & Sales Lead for Barbados to be responsible for planning, organising and controlling all sales activities.  The primary objective of the role includes ensuring customer satisfaction and retention, adhering to franchise requirements, budgeting and management of sales targets while maintaining good employee relationships through consistent engagement with the team.

 

 

 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Assists in the preparation and management of the annual operating budget for the department.
  • Works with the Head of New Car Sales to set weekly /monthly/quarterly sales and performance targets and manages the assigned Sales Team performance against the targets.
  • Closely manages stock through effective forecasting, inventory orders and aged stock management.
  • Manages an efficient service delivery process together with the Sales Team. This includes ongoing management of prospects in and outside of the dealership, skilfully assisting customers throughout their vehicle selection process, issuing accurate quotations and sales orders, securing required deposits and providing details on the auxiliary services provided by the dealership.
  • Manages the delivery lead time and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Manages ‘vehicles on hold’ to ensure smooth and timely sales process, while offering solutions for any challenges encountered.
  • Continuously monitors the competitive landscape to keep abreast of market prices, promotions and consumer trends.
  • Builds relationships with the OEMs and assists in reporting as required.
  • Works with the Marketing Team to develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to grow and promote sales while ensuring retention and continued repeat business from existing customers.
  • Champions strong customer relationships and finds innovative ways to attract new customers.
  • Understands and complies with local regulations that affect new vehicle sales.
  • Ensures Sales Team has an adequate display of available models and promotional materials are well maintained.
  • Coordinates and tracks progress with other departments such as logistics & finance to streamline processes.

 

We'll make a match if you meet the following requirements:

  • An Undergraduate or Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related qualification would be an asset
  • A minimum of five (5) years of high calibre sales experience
  • Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detailed oriented with a proven passion for customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Experience preparing sales and stock forecasts
  • A general knowledge of and enthusiasm for motor vehicles would be an asset
  • Goal oriented with the ability to track and achieve sales targets
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to effectively negotiate with clients
  • Ability to prioritise while managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of brand development an asset
