Our Business Performance team is seeking a Business Support Analyst to join our team in CARCAM.

 

In this position, you will support the Planning & Development Director - CARCAM, in driving business development activities across the cluster. You will play a pivotal role in advancing strategic initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, strengthening OEM relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of development projects aligned with Inchcape’s long-term objectives.  This role serves as a bridge between strategy and operations, translating business development priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the company’s business intelligence strategy, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and collaborating with stakeholders to define data requirements and KPIs.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining analytics solutions, dashboards, and reporting frameworks while establishing data governance standards to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
  • Develop and automate efficient data collection and transformation processes using SQL, Python, and ETL tools.
  • Create and deliver reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools to support executive and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional, IT, and project teams to gather requirements, conduct testing, implement new tools or processes, and provide insights that drive performance improvement.
  • Design, build, and maintain relational databases and data systems.
  • Conduct data cleansing and quality assurance to ensure reliability and consistency.
  • Oversee data collection, integration, validation, and governance processes to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, outliers, and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analytical requests across the organization.
  • Perform other reasonable and related duties as required.

About you

 

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Qualified with A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Bringing at least two (2) years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering.
  • Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R) for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experienced in using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas) with strong overall proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrating a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • An effective communicator, capable of presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively in cross-functional environments with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy in analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and adaptable to evolving business needs, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (advanced proficiency).
