General Maintenance Worker

Our Facilities Team is currently looking for a talented Maintenance General Worker for Barbados to maintain a safe, clean working environment for all employees and customers.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.
• Performs general upkeep of the entire facility.
• Empties and cleans all garbage can, inside and outside.
• Cleans yard drainage and roof drainage.
• Removes all debris from lot, driveways, and sidewalks.
• Maintains yard equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures.
• Removes scrap parts from designated areas on shop floors and disposes of them appropriately.
• Mows lawn, weeds and clear brush on the compound when required.
• Carries out general painting to the buildings, offices, driveways, and car park areas.
• Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Able to work after hours and weekends as required.

We'll make a match if you meet the following requirements:

• At least three (3) CSEC level passes
• Certification in plumbing, electrical or air conditioning an asset
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
• Highly detail-oriented and meticulous ensuring thorough and precise work
• Ability to prioritize while managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
• Possess a valid Light Goods licence, manual preferred
• Heavy Duty licence an asset
