Our Leadership team is seeking a General Manager for the Caribbean countries to join our team in Barbados.
In this position you will be responsible for leading and defining the strategy for the Caribbean business ensuring that capital and P&L guidelines are fulfilled. Ensure that the Caribbean region brand strategies and distribution are defined in line with the regional business direction.
What you’ll do
- Lead and implement the growth strategy of the distribution business (Sales and Aftersales) to ensure revenue, market share and PBT.
- Lead and implement Barbados' retail business growth strategy to secure revenue, market share and PBT.
- Define the business model for Puerto Rico, in order to ensure the growth of the OBM and motorcycle business throughout the Caribbean region.
- Seek opportunities for synergies and efficiencies within the Caribbean region.
- Build an organizational culture aligned to Inchcape's values, principles and standards.
- Interprets and applies key financial indicators to make better business decisions. Summarizes financial performance data and explains implications for the organization.
- Ensure that business activities within a significant area comply with relevant external or internal regulatory to minimize business risk and protect the reputation of the company.
- Motivate people to commit to the organization’s strategy and values, clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong industry knowledge in Automotive Retail.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a business unit or major functional program, preferably with full P&L responsibility and a focus on commercial strategy and business development.
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional and cross-organizational priorities at a senior leadership level.
- Strong general management mindset with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Demonstrated success in executing the core responsibilities outlined above.
- Experience working in a large-scale, fast-paced, and process-driven environment is a plus.
