Our Information Technology team is seeking a IT Lead Caribbean to join our team in Barbados. In this position you will be responsible for leading the deployment of the global technology strategy in the market, ensuring its correct and optimal operation. Implements the global strategy and guidelines. Advises the business in technological development to generate efficiencies. Improves the satisfaction of our internal and external customers.
What you’ll do
- Responds to compliance with the legality of the current software, ensuring that its operation and support work is carried out in an integrated and satisfactory way for users.
- Engages with the region and global to develop the plans and deployment of technological projects of the company that offer progressive development to the business, ensuring an adequate transition, adherence, and operation process.
- Co-ordinates the activities related to the operation of computer centres and technological infrastructure, ensuring that they respond to projects and business strategies using the regional/global structure.
- Manages and controls the suppliers and contracts related to the projects under their charge, ensuring that they are integrated and respond appropriately to the business's needs, ensuring compliance with security guidelines.
- Identifies the organization's internal stakeholders and generates alliances that allow the effective deployment of IT initiatives or IT solutions to other areas of the company in line with strategic objectives, focusing on reusing existing solutions.
- Ensures the execution of the corporate budget of expenses and investments in line with the budgets of the companies.
- Ensures IT initiatives are aligned with the Global/Regional/Company strategy.
- Provides ongoing and timely feedback on performance of the global / regional structure providing services to the market.
- Implements cross-training programs to develop system usage skills.
- Identifies changes to policies and procedures to adapt to changes and systems accordingly.
- Prepares reports as requested on the performance of the different service lines used in the markets.
- Performs other reasonable and related duties as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., PMI, Prince2) is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in IT Management with a proven track record of success in a multi-country context, automotive industry expertise is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate system requirements, architecture, and Global IT organization into conventional conversations with stakeholders.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Effective at working in a matrix environment, previous experience on a multinational company is desirable.

- Delegates work as needed to ensure the development of employee skills.
- Advocates for the staff across regional teams.
