Our Logistics team is seeking an International Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Barbados.
In this position, you will coordinate the global movement of goods and ensuring the efficient execution of international logistics operations. The role provides operational, administrative, and coordination support across the supply chain, helping to facilitate timely shipments, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
The incumbent will assist in coordinating international shipments, tracking logistics activities, and managing import/export documentation to support the seamless movement of products across global markets. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with trade requirements, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in planning and coordinating international shipments, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods across borders.
- Coordinate the logistics of vehicles, parts, and accessories from origin to destination, liaising with suppliers to ensure shipments are dispatched on schedule.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Gather shipping forecasts and prepare reports to support vessel space planning with suppliers.
- Analyze container utilization and prepare reports to support future shipment planning and improve shipping efficiency.
- Execute shipments in accordance with the provided guidance and approvals.
- Monitor delivery performance, proactively identify delays, and recommend solutions to ensure products are delivered to dealers within target timelines.
- Prepare and present reports and analytics on supplier and vendor performance.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and presentations, and follow up with dealers regarding logistics-related challenges.
- Develop supplier and ICI performance scorecards for internal stakeholders and customers, providing visibility into delivery performance and achievement of targets.
- Participate in meetings with suppliers to review performance metrics, provide feedback, and discuss production forecasts.
- Prepare data and analysis to support negotiations on freight rates and delivery terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders, and assist in the negotiation process as required.
- Support the International Logistics Lead in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and import/export requirements, including the preparation and submission of required documentation.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, company policies, and logistics procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Perform other reasonable and related duties as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business/Trade or a related field.
- Possessing 3 years’ experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Shipping Operations.
- Bringing excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics and pricing issues.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of dealership and franchise information.
- Experienced in collaborating across departments such as procurement, customer service, and sales to ensure logistics operations align with broader business needs.
- Skilled in handling customer and stakeholder issues, including pricing disputes, shipping queries, and system-related concerns, escalating when appropriate for resolution.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and high-performance standards.
