Our Supply Chain & Logistics team is seeking a Logistics Administrator to join our team in Barbados. In this position you will provide administrative services for the Logistics Department. Works closely with the Sales Administrators, Sales Managers, Sales Executives and Logistics Team to ensure efficient operation of the sales and inventory process.
What you’ll do:
- Receive, process and submit shipping documents to the customs broker from the OEM suppliers.
- Prepare and verify vehicle units for duty payment, submit all required documentation to the customs broker, and follow up on customs entries to address and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to ensure vehicle duties are paid promptly to support promptly to support timely delivery.
- Process and facilitate the clearing of duty-free vehicles by preparing and submitting the required documentation and proactively following up with key stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
- Resolve queries or requests for current and archived documentation from salespersons and customers and provide updates.
- Draft formal correspondence to Customs to address and resolve issues, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurately prepared and submitted through customs brokers.
- Create purchase orders for local suppliers in Coupa and accurately link them to the corresponding vehicle records.
- Enter and post vendor invoices in Incadea to support the timely clearing and invoicing of vehicles.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all business correspondence, reports, and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Performs other reasonable and related duties as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Qualified with an Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related qualification.
- Bringing a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in a customs, logistics, or warehouse environment.
- Experienced in using ASYCUDA, which would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrating strong computer literacy with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possessing well-developed critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills.
