Our Parts team is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Barbados. In this position you will be responsible for facilitating the Parts Department’s ability to provide exceptional customer experience by ensuring the availability and timely supply of parts to our customers, through careful management of logistics for the company’s franchises. The primary objectives of this role include, order management and tracking, logistics coordination and reporting on order and shipment statuses.

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support the end-to-end management of parts orders, from order submission through delivery, customs clearance, and receipt at the local warehouse.

 

  • Maintain effective tracking, follow-up, and reporting of purchase orders, logistics activities, and shipping statuses to ensure timely delivery.

 

  • Prepare and distribute weekly order tracking, logistics, and shipping reports to provide stakeholders with accurate updates on order status and estimated arrival dates.

 

  • Provide timely communication to key stakeholders regarding changes, risks, or issues that may impact the on-time delivery of parts.

 

  • Monitor logistics key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends and anomalies, and escalate concerns as appropriate.

 

  • Conduct root cause analyses of logistics and supply chain issues, recommending and supporting the implementation of effective corrective actions.

 

  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve logistics issues that may delay parts arrivals, escalating unresolved matters to the Inventory and Logistics Manager when necessary.

 

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to support efficient operations.

 

  • Monitor and control logistics costs while negotiating with vendors to achieve competitive pricing, reduced lead times, and optimal service levels.

 

  • Stay informed of market conditions, trade route developments, and other external factors that may impact sourcing and logistics operations.

 

  • Monitor international trade developments, including import/export regulations, tariffs, customs requirements, and market trends to support compliance and strategic decision-making.

 

  • Ensure all shipping, customs, and logistics documentation is accurately completed, organized, and filed in a timely manner for audit and operational reference.

 

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve logistics processes, procedures, and tools to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

 

  • Support and encourage team members in overcoming operational challenges while promoting a customer-focused culture that consistently exceeds customer expectations.

 

  • Demonstrate the company's values and behaviours by embracing innovative approaches, challenging traditional methods where appropriate, and identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and business performance while maintaining compliance with company policies.

 

  • Perform other reasonable and related duties as assigned.

 

About you

 

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Qualified with a minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC subjects, including Mathematics and English Language.

 

 

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to effectively utilize applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

 

 

  • Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

 

 

  • Possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.

 

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

  • Capable of multitasking effectively while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

 

 

  • Collaborative and able to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders.

 

 

  • Adaptable and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
