Our Used Car Sales Team is currently looking for a talented Purchasing Officer for Barbados who will be expected to appraise and source vehicles ensuring competitive pricing and profit margins are achieved in line with the overall business plan.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Identifies and coordinates all opportunities to purchase used vehicles.
- Responsible for executing an efficient purchasing policy. Achieves price, GP and other KPIs.
- Negotiates pricing and controls costs.
- Understands the competitive landscape and keeps abreast of our competition and how they position themselves.
- Structures an efficient purchasing plan and multiple supply channel options, taking care of the GP of the business.
- Guarantees the quality of the supply of used vehicles, of the competition and its positioning.
- Keeps abreast of industry and market trends and best practices.
- Assists with resolving any minor complaints on used vehicles sold.
- Oversees auctions on used vehicles.
We'll make a match if you meet the following requirements:
- An Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related qualification an asset
- A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant purchasing experience an asset
- Excellent negotiation skills and highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- High level of enthusiasm and ethical standards
- Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
