Our Sales department is seeking a Sales Executive to join our team in Barbados. In this position you will be responsible for selling vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards and delivering New Cars sales targets.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Realises that business is built on customer satisfaction and devotes themself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.
  • Demonstrates vehicles (includes test drives) to customers.
  • Delivers vehicles to customers.  This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a prospect development system.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers, including those of the competitors.
  • Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Reports to the Head of New Car Sales regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses.
  • Reviews and analyses actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • Understands the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the products. Automotive literature is provided by the dealership to greatly assist in this area.
  • Knows and understands all local laws & regulations which govern retail auto sales.
  • Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations.
  • Introduces each prospect to the Finance team to give them the opportunity for in house services.
  • Ensures that an adequate display of available models and brochures are maintained at all times. These displays must always be professionally maintained and visually pleasing.
  • Performs other reasonable and related duties as required.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Qualified with a minimum of five (5) CSEC passes, including Mathematics and English at Grade 2 or above.
  • Bringing a minimum of five (5) years of high-calibre sales experience.
  • Holding the appropriate and valid driver’s license(s) as required by local regulations.  
  • Goal-driven, with the ability to track and achieve sales targets.
  • Skilled at building strong relationships and effectively negotiating with clients.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
  • Have general knowledge of and enthusiasm for motor vehicles (an asset).
