Our Aftersales department is seeking a Technical Assurance Advisor to join our team in Barbados. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance and adherence to policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and first-time right execution of jobs through the Commercial Service Department. In addition, this role also acts as a technical advisor to customers assessing customer complaints and making recommendations on repairs and maintenance requirements with a goal of ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Assess vehicles and equipment and provide recommendations for repair and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer-recommended service schedules, taking into account vehicle mileage and service history.
  • Perform preliminary technical assessments to accurately identify and document customer concerns and job requirements.
  • Support the preparation of repair estimates by ensuring all required job tasks are identified, appropriately assigned, and aligned with standard labour times.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on vehicles and equipment prior to delivery to confirm work completion and adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Proactively communicate key diagnoses and repair requirements to customers, ensuring clear understanding and informed decision-making.
  • Maintain positive customer and dealer relationships by delivering effective service solutions that support current and future customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure full compliance with manufacturer warranty policies and the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
  • Assign technicians to specific job tasks and manage work orders within the Dealer Management System to ensure timely and efficient job completion.
  • Performs other reasonable and related duties as required.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Qualified with a Secondary School diploma or equivalent and/or a post-secondary technical or vocational training in Automotive Technology or a related field.
  • Bringing a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an automotive-related field, with hands-on exposure to commercial trucks.
  • Proven ability to provide diagnostic and research support using manufacturers database.
  • Holding a valid and appropriate heavy-duty driver’s license(s).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving and commitment to safety and quality standards.
