Our Finance team is seeking a Temporary Senior Accounting Officer to join our team in Barbados.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Perform monthly reviews of forecast versus actual results and investigate variances.
  • Support the preparation and updating of financial forecasts in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Prepare and maintain working capital forecasts to support operational and financial planning.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of warranty provisions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations through BlackLine.
  • Serve as the BlackLine Lead, supporting journal entry processing, reconciliation management, and system improvements.
  • Serve as the Coupa Lead, overseeing system administration, user support, and process optimization related to procurement and expense management.
  • Support audit requests and work closely with external auditors to ensure timely submission of documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls related to the general ledger.
  • Assist with other accounting duties as required.

 

About you

 

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Qualified with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Possessing at least 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrating strong analytical skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Having experience with accounting processes, with knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset.
