Our team is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our Christchurch dealership, representing the KGM and LDV brands. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with customers to deliver an exceptional end-to-end buying experience, while driving strong sales performance across vehicle, finance, insurance, and aftermarket products. Bringing your passion for customer service and results, you will play a key role in achieving sales targets, building lasting customer relationships, and representing our brands with pride and professionalism. 


What you’ll do:
 

  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets  
  • Maximise every opportunity by promoting finance, insurance, and aftermarket products
  • Deliver an outstanding, end-to-end customer experience aligned to Customer Compass principles
  • Manage all leads effectively, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate CRM (Salesforce) updates
  • Build strong customer relationships through tailored recommendations and clear communication
  • Coordinate seamless vehicle deliveries, ensuring quality presentation and complete documentation
  • Maintain a professional showroom and represent the brand with pride and enthusiasm
  • Drive repeat business and referrals through proactive follow-up, reviews, and aftersales engagement
  • Continuously build product knowledge and contribute positively to the wider team environment


About You 

  • Proven experience in automotive sales or a customer-facing sales environment
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales and profit targets
  • Strong understanding of finance, insurance, and aftermarket sales opportunities
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships
  • Strong organisational skills, with effective diary and lead management capability
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across sales processes and customer data
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence, engage, and deliver results
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Team-oriented, with a positive attitude and commitment to supporting others  
  • Passion for the automotive industry and pride in representing premium brands
