Our team is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our Christchurch dealership, representing the KGM and LDV brands. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, leading and developing a high-performing team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints.
Bringing your passion for people leadership, sales performance, and the automotive industry, you will play a key role in achieving retail centre targets, building a positive team culture, and ensuring operational excellence across the dealership.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, driving strong results through ongoing support, clear direction, and performance accountability
- Recruit, onboard, and grow your team, fostering a positive, motivated culture where people feel supported and proud of their work
- Drive sales and profitability by ensuring the team effectively manages leads, follows up opportunities, and builds lasting customer relationships
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by setting the standard, supporting your team, and resolving any issues with care and professionalism
- Oversee key sales operations, including deal approvals, trade-ins, vehicle sourcing, and ensuring all processes and compliance requirements are met
- Maintain strong product knowledge and ensure the team is aligned, informed, and set up for success through clear communication and effective planning
About You
- Proven experience in a Sales Manager or senior automotive sales leadership role
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience across finance, insurance, and aftermarket products
- Excellent customer focus, with a passion for delivering outstanding experiences
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, motivate, and engage teams
- Results-driven, with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset
- High attention to detail and commitment to process and compliance
- Passion for the automotive industry and pride in representing leading brands
