Our team is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager to support the LDV dealer network across New Zealand. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with a dynamic and diverse network of dealerships, ensuring technicians are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and training required to accurately diagnose and resolve technical issues. Bringing your passion for quality and continuous improvement, you will play a key role in driving technical excellence, supporting network capability, and enhancing overall service standards across the brand.
What you’ll do:
- Assist dealership technicians and Aftersales Managers with diagnosing and resolving product-related issues
- Manage and monitor the Technical Support Request system (TSR) to identify trends and drive timely resolutions
- Support safety-related recalls and service campaigns in line with New Zealand legislation and industry standards
- Coach and mentor technicians to improve capability and prevent recurring technical issues
- Provide on-site technical support and training through regular visits to the dealer network
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and engineering teams to support product improvement and issue resolution
- Partner with the training team to deliver and continuously improve technical training programs across the network
About You
- Technical experience within automotive distribution or workshop environments
- Strong technical knowledge across modern vehicle systems and diagnostics
- Confident using systems and tools, with solid Excel and reporting capabilities
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and build capability within technical teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across networks
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with strong critical thinking and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and drive results
