JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for demand forecasting and sales & supply planning for our products and negotiating with our major supplier to secure the necessary stock.
  • Monitor and analyze demand patterns, trends and seasonality to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Use the forecast and work cross-functionally with business stakeholders to determine the optimal supply requirements to maximise profitability and minimised aged stock. This will include reflecting current inventory levels, business requirements and strategy, manufacturer-imposed supply restrictions.
  • Lead monthly and annual negotiations with the manufacturing suppliers to secure the necessary supply.
  • Develop and execute supply planning strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels and product availability
  • Manage logistics planning function to ensure smooth execution of planning of production and resolve any supply chain issues.  
  • Overlook all production communication with OEMS for all of Greater China, supervisor all communication with logistics partners both locally and overseas.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Sales, Marketing and Product teams to align demand plan with promotional activities, new product launches and market initiatives, and help those teams understand the implications for their sales plans to ensure sales targets are met and aged stock is managed.
  • Communicate with senior management to present reports, dashboards, and performance metrics related to demand planning and forecasting accuracy.
  • Lead monthly stock call with APAC leaders including APAC CEO and communicate our GC stock strategy and positioning
  • Continuously evaluate and improve demand and supply planning processes, tools and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage performance reporting on demand forecast and stock management and report writing for senior management and our major supplier to support major decision. 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience in demand planning, experience of automotive is an advantage but not essential 
  • Bachelor degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field
  • Strong analytical with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with very tight deadlines.
  • Ability to critically challenging ideas and assumptions in a constructive and collaborative manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • A team player that is adept at building trusting relationships within the business in order to enlist their participation and support
