Are you an Internal Controls professional who enjoys improving business processes, strengthening governance, and partnering with stakeholders across an international organization?

At Inchcape, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the Internal Controls environment across the Europe & Africa region. This is an opportunity to work closely with Finance, Compliance, IT, Legal and business teams while driving risk management, controls effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Please note: This is not a Financial Controller, Accounting or FP&A role. We are looking for professionals with hands-on experience in Internal Controls, Internal Audit or Risk Management.

 

 

Your role

As an Internal Controls Specialist, you will support the implementation, execution and continuous improvement of the Internal Controls framework across Europe & Africa.

Working with regional and local stakeholders, you will help strengthen the control environment by coordinating control testing, supporting risk assessments, monitoring remediation activities and promoting best practices in Internal Controls.

 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate Internal Controls activities across Europe & Africa
  • Perform and coordinate control assessments, testing and certifications
  • Identify control gaps, risks and remediation actions
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Internal Controls framework
  • Partner with Finance, Compliance, IT, Legal and business stakeholders
  • Support Control Self-Assessments (CSA)
  • Cooperate with Internal Audit during audit activities
  • Deliver Internal Controls training and promote a strong control culture
  • Drive process improvements that strengthen governance and reduce operational risk

 

 

Who are we looking for?

Apply if you have:

  • At least 5–7 years of professional experience in Internal Controls, Internal Audit, Risk Management or SOX Compliance
  • Hands-on experience with Internal Controls frameworks (e.g. SOX, COSO, CSA or Risk & Control Matrix)
  • Experience in control testing, risk assessment and remediation of control deficiencies
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and internal control environment
  • Experience partnering with Finance and other business functions in an international organization
  • Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Experience with SAP and/or BlackLine will be considered an advantage
