Importation & Custom Clearance - CBU Cars Sr Specialist

What you'll do:

 

Responsible for managing the end-to-end importation and customs clearance process for Completely Built-Up (CBU) vehicles for multiple brand. Ensures compliance with all local regulations, timely clearance of vehicles, and smooth coordination with internal teams and external authorities to support business operations and customer delivery timelines.

 

Importation & Documentation
•    Prepare, review, and manage all documentation required for the importation of CBU vehicles (e.g., shipping documents, invoices, permits).
•    Ensure accuracy of customs declarations and timely submission to relevant authorities.


Compliance & Regulatory Management
•    Ensure adherence to Indonesian customs regulations, import duties, and taxation requirements.
•    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade regulations and implement changes as required.
•    Support homologation processes by providing necessary import-related documentation.


Coordination & Stakeholder Management
•    Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
•    Collaborate with internal teams (Warehouse, Vehicle Preparation Center, Finance) to support smooth operations.


Monitoring & Reporting
•    Track shipment status and proactively resolve any issues causing delays.
•    Prepare reports on clearance timelines, costs, and compliance performance for management.


Process Improvement
•    Identify opportunities to streamline importation processes, reduce lead times, and optimize costs.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•    Proven track record in managing CBU (Completely Built-Up) vehicle importation and clearance processes.
•    Strong experience in coordinating with government authorities, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
•    Proficiency in customs systems (e.g., INSW, CEISA) and ERP systems for import management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in importation, customs clearance, or logistics within the automotive industry.
•    In-depth knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, import requirements, HS codes, and taxation for vehicles.
