Job Description
This role will lead on the development of content and channels for Inchcape’s internal and external communications. It will play a key role in supporting the development of Inchcape’s reputation and brand with a focus on content planning and development for the Inchcape intranet, website and social media channels.

The successful candidate will also coordinate and manage global content planning to improve collaboration, efficiency and consistency in global messaging and communications.

This is a diverse and hands-on role where you will be required to work across a range of projects simultaneously. You will work with Communications colleagues globally to support the development and delivery of new communication channels and compelling content across all formats.


Main Responsibilities
Channel Development & Management

  • Day to day management and ongoing development of our global intranet (Viva Connections), colleague communications platform (Viva Engage), and LinkedIn.
  • Responsible for event management and content development for townhalls, roadshows and conferences.
  • Identify and explore new communication channels to help reach our audiences effectively.

Content Creation

  • Develop, write, and edit engaging content for various channels, including internal communications and campaigns, email, newsletters, website and social media.
  • In partnership with external agencies, lead content creation and publishing to our website and social media sites. This includes written, graphic and video content for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with regional and functional teams to ensure the alignment of messaging and content across all communication channels.
  • Curate and schedule content to maximise reach and impact.

Planning Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain and develop the global communications plan.
  • Recommend and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each communication channel.
  • Analyse channel and content performance and user engagement, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to measure the effectiveness of communications and channels.

Cross Business Collaboration & Best Practice Sharing

  • Work closely with regional and functional Communication teams to ensure cohesive and unified messaging across all digital channels.
  • Coordinate and help promote regional and market content for global channels.
  • Working with creative communication agencies to help shape and deliver key communication campaigns.
  • Support the development of best practice content and channel management across the business.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Significant communications, content development and channel management (both internal and external) experience.
  • Familiar with using the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Microsoft Viva/Yammer and SharePoint.
  • Proven experience in managing digital communication channels.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data and insight in decision-making.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving trends in communication technologies.
  • Website and social media experience, including using WordPress.
  • Experienced in video production and editing and the management of external creative agencies.
  • Proven experience of writing and developing content for a variety of media.
  • Design experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • Spanish or other Inchcape language skills desirable, but not essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
