Inchcape is at an exciting stage of transformation as we become an automotive distribution pureplay operator. As part of this shift, we’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join our Investor Relations (IR) team on a maternity cover basis. The Role: Maternity Leave Cover – Up to 12 months
As the Senior Manager for Investor Relations, you will play a key role in communicating Inchcape’s strategic narrative and investment proposition to the investment community. You’ll work within an ambitious team with a strong market reputation, contributing to the development and delivery of our IR strategy. Your work will directly support our efforts to engage with existing and potential investors, providing insightful analysis and ensuring the continued success of our investor communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- External Communications:
- Support the preparation of financial materials for external communications, including RNS announcements, presentations, scripts, and Q&A, as well as ad-hoc investor-related communications.
- Manage the logistics and preparation for results announcements, including diary management, advisor liaison, and venue management.
- Engage with investors and analysts in meetings, ensuring the IR CRM system is updated and the effectiveness of our IR programme is analysed and improved.
- Lead “In the driving seat” investor sessions, including materials drafting, advisor coordination, logistics, and session preparation.
- Oversee the collection and analysis of data relating to market and regional Total Industry Volume (TIV) disclosures.
- Play a leading role in the IR components of the annual report process.
- Sell-Side Analysts:
- Maintain consensus estimates and liaise with sell-side analysts on specific queries.
- Analyse sell-side forecasts to inform internal discussions and strategies.
- Investor Engagement and Outreach:
- Manage investor engagement activities such as conferences, meetings, and roadshows, ensuring effective logistics, outreach, and diary management.
- Monitor external datapoints and research, providing insight where necessary.
- Provide ad-hoc modelling and analysis to support the executive team and the Board.
- Take ownership of the IR section of the corporate website, ensuring content is up-to-date and engaging.
- Internal Collaboration:
- Present to internal teams on IR matters and capital markets updates.
- Contribute to conversations with the Regional Management team to draft messaging ahead of results announcements.
- Support the preparation of IR-related materials for internal stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in drafting reports, presentations, and financial materials.
- Strong analytical skills, with a high level of proficiency in financial modelling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and contribute new ideas and insights.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- A history of building strong relationships across all levels of a global organisation.
- An accounting qualification (e.g. ACA) is highly desirable.
