The Head of Executive & Group Reward is responsible for developing and managing comprehensive compensation and reward programs that support Inchcape’s strategic objectives, attract and retain top talent, and ensure regulatory compliance.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Reward
Remuneration Committee, Policy and Reports
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting executive and group rewards.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and market intelligence.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and recommendations for the Remuneration Committee’s review and approval.
- Provide expert support to the Remuneration Committee and Company Secretary, including supporting the preparation and presentation of director remuneration policies and the annual report.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with best practices in executive compensation.
- Communicate reward strategies and programs to participants, ensuring transparency and understanding
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of employment law, shares, international mobility, and benefits policies, ensuring these areas are managed effectively and compliantly.
- Manage relationships with external consultants, advisors, and auditors.
Incentives:
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term incentive plans, including bonuses, stock options, and other performance-based rewards.
- Benchmark executive compensation against industry standards and peers to ensure competitiveness.
- Link executive rewards to performance metrics and company performance.
- Develop performance evaluation frameworks to assess executive contributions and outcomes.
Group Reward:
- Be the Reward Partner for Group roles, based in the UK and throughout the world, including the Inchcape’s Digital Delivery Centres in Columbia and the Philippines; advising on employee employment offers, annual salary reviews, reward plans, benefits and incentives etc.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping a compelling and competitive global reward strategy that aligns with Inchcape’s business objectives and values of delivering great experiences through fresh thinking. Ensure reward offerings drive employee engagement and performance and employee experience.
- Lead Major Reward Projects or Initiatives: Spearhead significant global reward projects as required e.g. M&A. Approach these initiatives with innovative thinking and a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Develop and disseminate communication materials to educate and inform leaders and employees about reward policies and initiatives. Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with regional and global policies and processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to support effective collaboration, embodying the value of being "better together".
- In our lean team structure, ensure the network of specialist internal partners and external consultants is aligned and focused on Inchcape’s reward agenda.
- Drive the maturity and efficiency of reward processes through digitalization, predominantly via SuccessFactors, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. Utilize fresh thinking to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. Facilitate seamless delivery of end-to-end policies and integrated, efficient processes across the organization.
- Design and develop a learning curriculum for the global Reward and HR community, fostering ongoing professional development in reward practices. Share best practices and encourage input from countries to refine and innovate reward policies and processes, promoting fresh thinking and collective improvement.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Track Record in Working Under Pressure: Demonstrated capability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments and confidently deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timely planning, resource identification, delivery, and alignment with business objectives.
- Ability to Prioritise Workload: Skilled in managing and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and handle competing demands.
- Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, financial modelling and interpretation of data
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, particularly related to executive compensation, reward practices, taxation, shares and UK employment law.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align reward strategies with business goals
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex information clearly.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to drive initiatives and influence senior stakeholders
