Head of Threat

Our Cybersecurity team is seeking a Head of Threat.  In this role, you’ll lead, you’ll lead Inchcape’s global efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities across all IT assets and environments. This hands-on leadership role combines strategic direction with technical expertise driving proactive threat management, leveraging advanced tools, and ensuring that remediation is pragmatic, risk-based, and aligned with Inchcape’s evolving threat landscape. You’ll partner closely with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to prioritize and address exposures, translating threat intelligence into practical actions and fostering a culture of technical excellence

 What you’ll do 

• Lead and manage the Vulnerability & Threat Management team, mentoring and setting high operational standards.
• Work directly with advanced security tools and the team to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Drive proactive threat management, continuously emulating real-world attack scenarios.
• Use threat intelligence to guide practical, risk-based remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with IT, Cyber Security, and business stakeholders to coordinate and prioritize remediation.
• Develop and maintain clear reporting and metrics to demonstrate progress and compliance.
• Regularly review and enhance processes, tools, and team capabilities to adapt to evolving threats.

To be successful in this role you’ll be

• Deeply knowledgeable about vulnerability management tools and security validation techniques.
• Pragmatic and threat-led in your approach to cybersecurity.
• Skilled at interpreting and applying threat intelligence to drive risk-based remediation.
• Experienced in using penetration testing and security validation tools.
• Highly analytical, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communicator, able to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to staying current with emerging threats and technologies.
