About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Junior Strategy and Business Development Manager to join our Group Strategy Team at Inchcape. This high-profile role offers regular exposure to senior leadership across our global markets and direct interaction with the Chief Strategy Officer. Reporting to and working closely with the Group Strategy and Business Development Director and two experienced Managers, you will be at the heart of our strategic decision-making process.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with analysts to gather primary data on markets, automotive manufacturers, and industry trends.
  • Assist in researching and writing reports to brief senior management on key industry megatrends, including electric vehicles and driverless cars.


  • Convert information into insightful recommendations for the business.
  • Help prepare intelligence reports on company performance for the Chief Executive and Executive Management Team.


  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels across the business and manage communication with our 40+ markets.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the PLC Board, Group CEO, CFO, Chief Strategy Officer, and Regional CEOs.

Project Management

  • Take ownership of specific projects/workstreams, recommending approaches, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Manage the delivery of key initiatives and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Support discussions with and about car Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Initiate and lead key strategy implementation projects.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Management Consulting Experience: Previous experience in a tier 1 Strategy Consultancy.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Strong desire to learn and grow within the role.
  • Collaboration: Ability to partner with colleagues across the business to achieve results.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, including strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Solid quantitative analysis capability, with strong Excel skills.
  • Initiative and Commitment: Independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
