Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform standard maintenance services, to include oil changes and tire rotation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing.
Consult with Shop Team Leader or Manager to coordinate needed diagnosis of possible issues not outlined on the repair order.
Creating detailed service reports for customers.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Reports to work on time every day as scheduled.
Attends departmental meetings/events as required.
Identify opportunities to recommend additional services.
Presents upsell options with focus on the long term benefits and potential cost savings, demonstrating the value proposition of additional services
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Experience in automotive repair
Licensure
Saipan Driver’s License
ASC Certification preferred
