SUMMARY

Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform standard maintenance services, to include oil changes and tire rotation.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
  • Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
  • Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
  • Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
  • Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
  • Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing.
  • Consult with Shop Team Leader or Manager to coordinate needed diagnosis of possible issues not outlined on the repair order.
  • Creating detailed service reports for customers.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Reports to work on time every day as scheduled.
  • Attends departmental meetings/events as required.
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional services.
  • Presents upsell options with focus on the long term benefits and potential cost savings, demonstrating the value proposition of additional services

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience
    • Experience in automotive repair
  • Licensure
    • Saipan Driver’s License
    • ASC Certification preferred
