Within the distribution of Toyota in Belux, Used-Car (UC) plays a major role in the profitability of our network and Toyota Belgium. UC will definitely support sales volumes and business expansions in the long term.

The purpose of the head of sales is to manage the Vehicle Lifetime Value linked to UC business; Sales of UC within the dealer network of Toyota & Lexus, sales of Finance &Insurance, secure Parts & accessories around UC business, leading a team of 2 regional managers and 1 remarketing manager (assisted by remarketing officer). The role of the Head of Sales Distribution Used cars is also developing and rolling-out strategies together with the UC director (close contact with Management team and Toyota Motors Europe UC Management team.


Our role:


  • You develop and execute the yearly strategic sales & Marketing action plans of UC in close relation with the UC director to achieve sales targets in line with Inchcape targets and expand our customer base in a sustainable way.
  • You are the main stakeholder to coordinate with other departments (IT, Marketing, Logistics, Try&Buy, etc) in order to build the best possible solutions for the dealers and optimize any UC business opportunities or next developments
  • You are the end responsible for sales of UC accessories, finance & insurance products by the dealers/network: set sales goals, track progress and lead the team to achieve and exceed these targets. 
  • You are leading and managing a team of 2 UC Regional Managers and 1 Remarketing Manager to ensure UC business developments, professionalization, growth & provide predictable environment for the UC business.
  • You report sales results & forecasts to UC director (Sales / Stock / Profit plan / RV reports)
  • You are able to detect trends and developments in order to translate them into opportunities for UC.
  • Assure continued successful operations through effective management, retention, selection, training, development, and motivation of UC regional managers/remarketing manager.
  • You are responsible to maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction with our dealers/network on sales level.
  • You are responsible for all UC IT tools assisted by IT and support teams
  • You are in close contact with bravoauto Sales management for any additional opportunities within your UC network.


Your profile 

  • 10+ years of experience in a sales role. Automotive knowledge is a must.
  • Experience in working with independent franchise dealers.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Track record of exceeding previous targets.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and management.
  • Excellent leaders  with a passion for developing employees solving complex problems
  • Outgoing and service-oriented attitude.
  • Goal oriented self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
