Job Introduction
Apprentice Bodyshop Technician (Vehicle Damage Panel Technician)
We have an amazing opportunity for you to kick start your career working with an amazing brand, within our Inchcape Accident & Repair Centre. 
Our Vehicle Damage Panel Technicians work within the Volkswagen Group Approved Repairer network to deliver a a first class service to customers using teams of highly trained experts and the same paint, parts and materials that are used at our factories.
As one of our Apprentice Bodyshop Technicians you will undertake a programme of study line with the company/brand apprenticeship scheme. Training will be delivered via our Apprenticeship Provider and will include a combination of virtual classroom remote learning and face-to-face block release weeks at a state-of-the-art training centre.
On successful completion of this three year programme you will receive the following qualification; Level 3 Vehicle Damage Panel Technician Apprenticeship

Main Responsibilities
Vehicle Damage Panel Technicians specialise in repairing or replacing damaged panels on our customer’s vehicles.
Over the course of the apprenticeship you will develop the skills to prepare a vehicle for a Paint Technician by repairing, replacing and preparing accident damaged body panels utilising special tools and procedures to Volkswagen Group standards.

Daily duties will vary according to location and may include:
• Assessing the level of damage to a vehicle and choosing to either repair or replace panels
• Removing damaged panels
• Repairing damaged chassis and panels
• Keeping logs of work carried out and informing customers of any additional works
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The Ideal Candidate
• A passion for everything automotive
• High motivation levels, with excellent communication and have the ability to work well under pressure
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
• Punctual and being great at timekeeping
• Good attention to detail
• Drive to exceed targets
• GCSE (or equivalent) in Math's, English and either Science or Technical subject
