Senior Transport Planner

Location – Altona

We are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to lead and optimise our end-to-end vehicle transport and logistics operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of vehicles across our national network while maintaining the highest safety and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise transport strategies for vehicle distribution, other OEM partners and stakeholders.
• Standardise processes and procedures nationally to best practice using ProMapp to document
• Identify/implement logistics supply chain cost reductions
• Oversee contract performance, SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Attend OEM KPI / planning meetings
• Ensure on time finance submissions for all contractors
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations (road safety, heavy vehicle regulations, chain of responsibility).
• Improve fleet utilisation, delivery frequencies, and transport allocation strategies.

What we are looking for

• Min 3 to 5 years’ experience in transport planning, logistics, or automotive supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of automotive distribution finished vehicles logistics, or parts supply networks.
• System skills in transport planning tools (TMS, GIS, route optimisation software).
• Strong stakeholder management and supplier negotiation experience.
• Strong work ethic with a passion for industry and commitment
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting skills.
