Purpose of Role: 

 

We are looking for an Associate Backend Developer to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience in PHP and a passion for backend development. You will be involved in new project rollouts, existing projects, and enhancements, ensuring backend systems are scalable, secure, and performant.

 

You will work alongside other backend developers, frontend developers, Business Analyst, QA and the Scrum Master to ensure smooth project execution in an Agile environment. While experience with .NET is a nice-to-have, your primary focus will be on PHP development.

 

 

Job Role and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations using PHP
  • Optimize SQL queries and manage databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs
  • Write clean, testable code and support QA in bug fixing and troubleshooting

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • 1+ year experience in PHP backend development
  • Strong SQL and database knowledge
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, and OOP principles
  • Experience with unit testing and debugging
  • Degree in IT or related field is required
