Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a passionate Data Scientist to join Inchcape Digital's Data Analytics Platform team. You should be proficient in Azure/Databricks, knowledgeable about the automotive sector, and skilled in AI Product Management and Operationalisation. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, as you'll work with Directors and C-suite leaders. As a senior team member, you'll guide data scientists and MLOps engineers, and serve as the go-to advisor for data science. Expertise in statistics, machine learning, and end-to-end AI projects is required.
Responsibilities
- Mentor a team of data scientists and MLOps engineers to deliver high-quality data science solutions and products.
- Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems and generate actionable insights.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust machine learning models and pipelines using Azure/Databricks environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other data teams to understand the business requirements and translate them into data science objectives and solutions.
- Communicate effectively and persuasively the results and recommendations of data science projects to various audiences, including senior management and external partners.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in data science and artificial intelligence and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the AI Product Management and Operationalisation framework and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Advanced degree in a related field, Master's or PhD preferred.
- Proficiency in Python and other data science tools and frameworks.
- Extensive experience with statistical and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, anomaly detection, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets from diverse sources and formats.
- Experience in developing and deploying end-to-end machine learning solutions and products.
- Expertise in Azure/Databricks environment and its components.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and collaborate effectively.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a creative and critical thinking approach.
