Purpose of Role: 

We are seeking a collaborative and results-oriented Financial Applications Leader to lead the day-to-day operations and strategic development of our global Coupa system (and other financial applications such as Basware, Blackline, etc) platform. In this role, you will manage a team of financial applications analysts and serve as a liaison between IT, Procurement, and Finance to ensure smooth system performance, alignment with business objectives, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, deep functional knowledge of Coupa, and the ability to drive operational excellence across a global environment.

Job Role and Responsibilities: 

• Manage a team of Financial Applications Analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure effective execution of system administration, user support, and change management activities.
• Coordinate workload and priorities across regions to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery of enhancements.
• Maintain oversight of user access, system configuration, and workflow design in accordance with global standards.
• Act as the point of contact for complex system issues, process escalations, and stakeholder communications.
• Partner with the Procurement and Finance teams to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions within global design.
• Monitor data quality, system integrity, and integration points with ERP and third-party platforms.
• Support planning and rollout of system updates, new features, and process improvements.
• Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen team capabilities and user adoption.
• Drive compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and platform governance policies.

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience working with Coupa, at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Knowledge on other financial applications such as Basware, Blackline, Concur, etc is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience with SAP ERP in integrated environments is a plus.
• Strong hands-on experience with core Coupa modules such as Procure-to-Pay, Invoicing, and Supplier Management.
• Proven ability to lead, develoCoupa certification(s) in core modules or administration.p, and motivate high-performing technical or functional teams.
• Exceptional leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience managing systems in a global, multi-regional business environment.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Understanding of system governance, change management, and support best practices.
• Coupa certification(s) in core modules or administration.
• Experience working in a compliance-driven or regulated industry.
• Knowledge of procurement and finance operations and best practices.
